Deborah majored in Fine Art at Carnegie Mellon University (previously known as Carnegie Institute of Technology) in Pittsburgh. She transferred to University of the Arts in Philadelphia (previously known as Philadelphia College of Art) in her last year where she graduated with her BFA in 1969.

After graduating Deborah continued her education at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Main Line Art Center.

Her work has been exhibited at Woodmere Art Museum, Main Line Art Center, Philadelphia Sketch Club, The Muse Gallery, InLiquid, Martin Run Gallery, AxD Gallery, Philadelphia City Hall, Cerulean Gallery, Prince Street Gallery, Fleisher Art Memorial,The Rosenfeld Gallery and Stanek Gallery.

She is now represented by Stanek Gallery
